The Way We Live Now

The Way We Live Now is the exhibition opened for Sir Terence Conran’s 80th birthday at the Design Museum in London.
I love the simple ideas that marked the evolution of design in our lives, proofs that Conran and his business, -Habitat- is responsible for the 60’s revolution in middle class lifestyle from what people seat on to the utensils that we use.

His memorable quotes are written on almost every wall of the exhibition, my favourite, by far, being:
‘Good design is 98 per cent common sense and 2 per cent aesthetics’.
Conran’s business is specialised in interiors, product design and graphics, and even architectural practice.
Design Museum was opened in 1989 by Sir Terence Conran.
The exhibition The Way We Live Now is opened until 4 March 2012.
